This listing is for a performance chip (memcal) package to suit the Holden VY series of cars including Commodore, Calais and Statesman models fitted with the Supercharged 3.8L Engine and an Automatic transmission. The memcal’s being provided here have been based on the HSV XU6 performance tune which from factory produce 180kw up from the standard 171kw and further enhanced to increase performance.
Increased Performance!
When used in conjunction with a good exhaust system typical power outputs that can be expected are between 180-190kw with increased torque across the rev range. Noticeable performance gains to both acceleration and throttle response are delivered as a result. The results are achieved through the recalibration of both ignition timing and fuel mapping. The automatic transmission shift points have also been altered to increase the willingness of the car to change gears under sudden acceleration.
Suitable For Increased Boost Pressure!
More power can be achieved through the use of a smaller pulley on the Supercharger to increase boost pressure. The standard boost pressure for these vehicles is 6 PSI and with an off the shelf performance chip such as this it is considered safe to run a maximum of 10 PSI boost pressure. Easy To Install Yourself!
Replacing the chip is a fairly simple process with the PCM (Computer) located behind the kick panel below the glove box. Detailed installation instructions are provided. Installation typically takes 30 minutes with some basic tools.

If you require dyno tuning for increased performance or for a heavily modified vehicle we can provide this for an additional cost. When running these high performance tunes we recommend you try run a minimum of 95 Octane Premium Unleaded and where possible 98 Octane. Although it is safe to run standard 91 Octane unleaded if other alternatives are not available, it is advised that you should avoid heavy acceleration to protect your engine.
