TADA (JAPAN) VINTAGE PRESSED TIN ATOM X-5 HEAVY MACHINE GUN FRICTION TOY,
(In working condition w/audio, no sparks)
Mid-20th century
(Circa 1956-1966)
DESCRIPTION:
This great folding, mid-20th century Japanese pressed tin, heavy machine gun friction toy is in working condition, with moving parts, audio but no sparks, as it is supposed to emit when the trigger is pulled. Otherwise, it is as it has always been, untouched and unmolested. The lithographed enamel finish on the pressed tin, hollow body is untouched and only shows slight, expected wear from previous use along the margins and some minor oxidation (rusting.) It also doesn't suffer from fatal deformities, significant dents or dings. It looks as if it was lightly used and actually kept indoors, as the rusting that occurs is minimal and doesn't obscure or blot out the graphic iconography of the toy. The tee-pee machine gun folding stand moves freely and open and closes without issues. Needless to say, the same toys that gave our fathers and grandfathers endless hours of enjoyment, can now be relived on our office desktops, bookcase shelves and bureaus. Terrific.
