PROBLEM:

Rattling, buzzing or clicking noise from the engine?

If you have Flapping Noise from left side of the engine compartment

while engine is running, the most common problem is the DISA valve air flap or

flap driver is striped or broken causing noise and sometimes turn on check

engine light for engine running lean conditions. This rebuilt kit is designed to fix

this problem without changing the complete assembly and saves you money !!!

Parts of the disa valve are made from inferior quality plastics. Over time, the bell crank lever wears out, leaving the unit in a state of disrepair.

The pieces of this flap can even enter the engine often causing severe engine

damage; likewise the metal pin that holds the flap plate in position can vibrate loose and enter the engine.

The disa unit will rattle when the engine is running on idle.

This can be confirmed by unplugging the disa valve to check if the rattle goes away. A faulty disa valve will cause poor engine performance.

Fault codes: lean condition(P1083, P1085), front oxygen sensor lean (P1090, P1092) oxygen sensor slow response (P1087, P1089) and cylinder misfire (P0311-P0316)
fuel control mixture lean (bank 2 sensor 1) and p0174 system too lean, showing?

SOLUTION:

Rebuild the Disa valve unit with our reengineered kit.

This can be installed by anyone with a few basic tools. Basic mechanical skills are required.

Disassembling is really easy:

1) Remove the metal pin that holds the flap.

2) Remove the back cap to get to the flap driver.

3) Remove flap driver from the flap - This move requires some efforts, as old flap driver could be stuck.
