These JV Squiers were known for their particularly high quality, often incorporating Fender USA parts and offering period-correct details, such as cloth-covered wiring and vintage style tuners. They were made to the blueprints of vintage Fenders and have gathered a strong collectors' following on the basis of their high quality.

This is a well used example in sunburst finish, and has lots of nicks and dings and the usual lacquer cracks around the neck pocket. Also missing the backplate but these are easily replaceable. All issues are cosmetic and not structural. It plays beautifully, low action and no problem doing big bends high up the neck. Some fretwear but nothing major. The back of the neck even has some light flaming. Having owned a number of Japanese Fenders I can confidently say that the JV series is a step above these.

Electronics appear to be original except for a new pickup selector switch and the bridge pickup has been wired to the bottom tone control (usually you cannot control the tone of strat bridge pickups). Cloth wiring and staggered single coil pickups.

If you purchase for the full asking price I will include the hard case pictured and a 1980s Fender strap, otherwise I will ensure it is well packaged for postage without the case and strap. Collection can be arranged from SM6, South London. I can also meet in Central London by arrangement during the week.
