*Vang Vieng embroidery  Laos

      
Vang Vieng has been know for making embroidered and weaving works
 since the 14th century,
 
A special 'old' Woman sarong from Laos,purchased in the 1980's
woven and hand stitched , All traditional designs
of animals and flowers. Hand worked , made for everyday wear,
    soft hemp natural indigo with woven panel band of multi coloured weaving
 

  It has wear, marks and broken stitches,
3 holes I can see on one side
the indigo skirt
measures 97cms long  x 72 cms tube top-'double wide.

It was used - and worn.  Please ask any questions.
