I am selling off my surplus lego which I originally started to collect some 40 years ago.

Brings back so many good memories.

Recently I have picked up the bug again (and a bit more pocket/ beer money) and have concentrated on my early 80s classic space sets 1979 to 1982 and newish star wars 2000- 2010

To aid this I have have decided to sell all my space and non space surplus items, at the same time gather bits and move them on to get complete sets to keep or sell.

100% correct with all bricks and colours correct. Nothing missing look at the pictures its all there and this is what you are purchasing.

Details

928 Galaxy Explorer is a Classic Space set released in 1979. It contains a large spacecraft, a ground base with a landing pad and a small tower, a small space rover and four Classic Space astronauts (two red, two white).

This set was not available in the US, where the identical set 497 Galaxy Explorer was available instead. However, both spacecraft had the number "LL 928" printed onto their hulls.

The cockpit had enough room for two minifigures and could be accessed by tilting back its roof. At the aft, the ship had a large cargo compartment with a loading ramp where the rover could be stored. The rocket engines and the aft fuselage had to be tilted to the sides to access it. The building of the ground base contained a control room and had a large dish antenna on the outside.
