Nikon FE2 35mm SLR film camera body, silver

The Nikon FE2 camera has the classic retro look of the mechanic age of cameras. It had a number of innovative features, such as a vertical travelling shutter that allowed shutters speeds from 8 to 1/4000 second, plus a flash synch of 1/250. There is also an M250 shutter speed so the camera can be used completely mechanically without batteries.

The camera operates in either manual or automatic exposure modes. Serial number is 2408657. It accepted two A-76, S76, LR44 batteries or equivalent.   The meter is a match needle when used manually. Tapping the shutter release turns the meter on.  tried all the shutter speeds. They are all working and seem close to accurate but I have no way of doing an actual speed test. The meter is working. The camera uses two A-76 (LR-44) batteries, which are included. Couples with all Nikon AI lenses, but not G lenses. Meter is silicon photodiode light meter sensors with provision for through-the-lens (TTL) off-the-film (OTF) electronic flash automation and has a match needle display. It will also read non-AI lenses in a stop-down mode.

The photos show the actual camera up for auction. Camera is in excellent condition showing some light wear. Please check the photos for cosmetic condition of the body. Body cap, and two new batteries are included.
