ITEM DESCRIPTION:  Presenting just the COOLEST PAIR of polychromed, wooden black bird figures, with a wonderful Mid Century Modern design. They are reminiscent of Lisa Larson's design/style. I have no idea as to their maker ? They came out of an estate full of fine European and Scandinavian antiques. The only mark I could find was a "30 S" written in pencil on the underside of the smaller bird's feet. See the 8th photo for a close-up. They are both quite light-weight. The larger black bird stands 13 5/8" tall, and the smaller bird measures 6 5/8" tall. Both birds are in very good condition, and show just minor wear. The larger bird has a couple of paint scrapes to the outer edges of its wings, and the smaller bird has a few tiny nicks to the bottom edges of its feet. See the last 3 photos for close-ups. Both birds have natural age lines/crazing to the painted/polychromed wood. None of this detracts in the least from this fabulous pair of vintage wooden black bird statues. They display beautifully together. I have never seen anything quite like them ! Very unique, and FUN.
