188mm Limited slip differential pre load shims
This is listing for pair of high rated Preload shims for all BMW 188mm Limited slip differentials.
More than often happens that preload shims looses their spring load or be damaged due to overheating and poor oil usage, so it is always good idea to replace them when rebuilding you LSD.
This shims are 30% stronger than originals so you will increase performance of your LSD significantly. Higher preload gives better lock/traction.
They are extra hardened to 55hrc for greater longevity and better performance.
While your differential is out from the car, you may consider replacing some other components which may be defected as well:
