Presented for your consideration is for a beautiful and rare Vintage 1930s Chinese Butterscotch 2 Tone Green Wafer Back Mahjong Set with case.

Set Includes: 

148 Circa 1930s hand carved and painted tiles with green wafer backs. These tiles are Chinese Bakelite. They are clean and measure approximately 1 3/16" x 7/8" x 9/16", including: 

.    36 Dot tiles, 4 each of 1-9  

.    36 Bamboo tiles, 4 each of 1-9, featuring a strutting peacock 1bam.  

.    36 Character (Crack) tiles, 4 each of 1-9 

.    16 Wind tiles: 4 each of East, North, West and South  

.    12 Dragon tiles: 4 each of White, Red and Green  

.    8 Flowers 

.    Pair of vintage dice  

.    100 Ox bone betting sticks. These sticks have been cleaned.

All in all, this is a great set in good used vintage condition. It would certainly make a wonderful addition to any collection. The case is worn and has split across the back. It still works to contain the game parts.
