Panasonic part number: 2M261-M32J4, supersedes all previous versions of the 2M261-M32 magnetron. This is a brand new magnetron sourced directly from Panasonic. This magnetron is fitted to many Panasonic inverter type microwaves. Some microwaves such as Bosch and Siemens also use this magnetron as they are rebranded Panasonic ovens. These ovens are up market models and are normally well worth repairing. The 2M261-M32 is the inline version of the 2M261, ie the airflow is in the same direction as the mounting brackets. Please check the configuration before ordering. We can order any Panasonic magnetron that is available. An inverter microwave oven is one without a high voltage transformer You will know you have one as it is not extremely heavy at one end. This type of microwave uses a high power DC converter, called an inverter, to produce the high voltage and filament voltage required by the magnetron. If you purchase this item for replacement in your microwave then we recommend that you do this only if you are qualified and aware of the dangers of tampering with electrical equipment. Failure of this magnetron is common. An instruction sheet with basic guidelines on fitting will be provided but please do not purchase this item unless you are confident about fitting it. We only accept returns if the magnetron supplied is defective which is extremely unlikely. We fit lots of these magnetrons, it is a common fault, and there is not much we don't know about this type of oven. We can provide technical assistance regarding repair of your oven if you purchase parts from us. If you have one of these ovens that is not cooking then it is worthwhile looking at the magnetron. It often shows signs of distress through overheating. The magnet can be cracked, the plastic airguide can be partially melted and the magnetron can be discoloured. The magnetron leads a hard life in these ovens and they can overheat. It is important to check the airflow from the fan, the rear vent often becomes blocked with dust. If this is the case then you must clear the rear air vent of all dust and grime. Compatible part numbers, (either type may be supplied): 2M261-M32J4 2M261-M32KLP

P/n. 2M261-M32

All Inline, 6.4mm spade terminals

There are several  magnetrons used in Panasonic invertor models. If you require a different part number, please contact us and we can list it for you.

Note: Microwave ovens should only be repaired by qualified technicians with a knowledge of microwave ovens. Voltages present inside a microwave oven are extremely high and dangerous, and can be present long after the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the mains supply
