pictures of vintage cases above were sourced from the internet as examples.

Picture #3 is one of these hasps installed on a brown Fender case

Picture #9 is a nickel version of this hasp on a 70's Fender Case with a Presto Lock

This BRASS-TONE hasp is offered as a SUITABLE REPLACEMENT for older Fender cases which used "Presto" cast (thin) style hasps, such as the 1950's tweed cases and the early 60's brown tolex cases.   This hasp will mate with the locks I have pictured above.

THESE ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CHENEY HASPS
SOME BROWN CASES USED GOLD CHENEY LOCKS/HASPS.

PRICE IS FOR  ONE LATCH / HASP, AND 2 BRASS PLATED SPLIT RIVETS

Height of hasp is 2".   Hole spacing is 1 1/8".   you WILL need to drill new holes.  You will probably want to fill the old holes first with wood dowel or epoxy putty, as you will be drilling new holes very close to the old ones.  Most of the old Presto hasps have 7/8" hole spacing.  The part of this hasp which attaches to the lid of the case is rather large and should cover most or all of the footprint of the old hasp.  If you have a Fender case from the 50's, or early  60's with a hasp which is solid steel, and not marked Cheney, this should work for you.

This hasp is solid brass, not steel like the Prestos.  Very old stock.
The spring in this hasp is very strong.
These are actually an improvement over the Presto hasps

PLEASE send me a pic of your case TO CONFIRM SUITABLITY

I have become fairly knowledgeable about cases and their hardware
as I have repaired a few over the years.

I ALSO HAVE THESE IN NICKEL.

Presto hasps are only available if you are parting out an old case.   The Cheney hasps do not mate with Presto Locks

I accept all forms of Paypal and I will ship these within a day.
