We don't want to start a fight but wethink it's fair to claim that there are someproblems with press fit bottombrackets. They creak, don't last all that longand are installed and removedwith tools that cavemen would recognise. TOKEN'sNINJA bottom bracket solves thecreaking issues, improves bearing life and addsstiffness to the bottom bracket.

We start with our Fusion technology; itis a combination of plastic and fibre thatcover an alloy bottom bracket shell.The composite material allows it to beprecisely machined and fit snugly in theframe so it doesn't move in the frameand sound like grandma's clicking andcreaking arthritic knees. But plastic andfibre don't do a good job ofsupporting bearings; poorly supported bearings canwear prematurely.

We house the bearings in an alloy shelland wrap it with plastic and fibre. Thisfusion of the three materials providesthe bearings a solid platform to sit onand extends their lives. A lot of peoplewould be satisfied with this, but wewent even further by extending the alloyshell so the right and left sides locktogether. This locks the frame, cranksand bottom bracket together and providesunparalleled stiffness.
