Japanese Glass Float
Japanese glass fishing floats are popular collectors’ items and decor pieces. They were once used by fishermen in many parts of the world to keep their nets afloat. These Japanese hand made fishing floats were made and used by fishermen from Hokkaido Island of northern Japan and are real authentic floats. In Japan, glass fishing floats are being replaced by plastic and polystyrene making authentic glass fishing floats highly collectible. We are third generation Japanese glass float collectors and offer a wide variety of sizes, most of which were found by myself or family members. These floats are from our own personal collections which we have collected over the past 30 years. This listing is for one Japanese glass fishing float and the pictures are very representative of the float you will receive. These floats will have a minor ding, small crack, bubble burst, or wrinkles in the glass. These are still very nice floats, I just sell them at a small discount to account for the minor damage. Each float is bubble wrapped and packed securely.
