A delightful read, delves into history, culture, people of the West Indies.  

Paper / Soft cover reprint edition in very good condition, flex covers, cloth bound, a sturdy book. Overall good copy, clean replica.  Cover is updated, however the interior is an exact replica made from the original manuscript.

Description of the harbour and town of Nassau. Government of the Bahama Islands. Judicial establishment. Agricultural society. Causes of the failure of cotton.

General description ; Historical account of New Providence. Black Beard the pirate. Governor Woodes Rogers. Colonel De Veaux's conquest of the island in 1783. The author proceeds from New Providence ; passes the , Berry Isles ; Short description of Andros, Bimini Islands. Eleuthera and Harbeur Islands. Course taken by Columbus through the Bahamas.
