Due to the natural cypress and unpainted finish, mold may occur depending on the usage conditions. After use, wash away dirt with a sponge using a neutral detergent, and dry in the shade in a well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight.
As this is a natural material, please allow for some hangnails and unevenness in the surface finish.
Hinoki peculiar tar may appear, but it is proof that the tree is alive and is harmless.
Rubbing with sandpaper will restore the scent.
