MY GOAL FOR SHIPPING IS FOCUSED ON YOUR PACKAGE ARRIVING SAFELY
AND MINIMIZING MY LOSSES THRU OVER CAUTIOUS PACKAGING.
I'm phasing out international shipping because after you add insurance, eBay fees and Paypal fees
it just costs too much to ship internationally from the US and I don't have the time to carry
on lengthy discussions about the shipping costs I have no control over.
In addition, with eBay's updated return policy I have absolutely no control over returns and return
shipping costs.
For items that actually ship in one package, I offer Combined Shipping.
The second (and subsequent) smaller item(s) ship at 50% of the
quoted rate. If "Request a Total" does not work than "Buy It Now" and I will issue a PAYPAL REFUND
for combined shipping on the day I ship your items. You may have to log into PayPal to see the refund as they
often do not send any notice.
Since I am perpetually on road trips thruout the eastern half of the United States and Canada to obtain
new inventory; I can ship all orders within 5 business days. If you need faster shipping you should look
for another vendor. Typically, eBay will automatically notify you with tracking numbers when I ship.
Please log into your eBay account to check the SHIPPING STATUS if you have any questions.
Everything I ship has TRACKING (a Paypal requirement).
USPS TRACKING sometimes does not pick up and track an item after it is delivered to the Post Office.
I can't really account for this but it can be frustrating not knowing where a package is. As an experienced
seller, I
keep substantial records on shipment dates and tracking numbers. Once, I shipped a package overseas that was not
posted as received
by the US Post Office, not posted as shipped out of the country by US Customs and finally posted to tracking
after two anonymous weeks
on the actual day of delivery in Europe. Since the Post Office doesn't trace a package when you file a claim
until 3 - 4 weeks have elapsed
for domestic (and 4 - 6 weeks on international shipments), there's little that actually gets done
"WORRYING" a packages status
until the suitable amount of time has elapsed.
We ship most of our items in Reused and Recycled packing materials. Some would call it trash but there
are no food products
in the box. This re-use is good for our land fills in Michigan.
I have to pay eBay and Paypal about 15% of the money I collect from you for shipping. Then I have to pay
for
actual shipping costs, packaging, insurance, wages and travel costs to the Post Office to get your purchase out
the door.
If I don't offer freight as an option in an eBay listing for a heavy item plan on the cost being
$400 which is a good estimate
as to what the costs are for any pallet, securing the item to a pallet, freight, insurance and delivering the
shipment to a freight depot in
Romulus, Michigan 48174 (60 miles round trip from my office). On rare occasion I am willing to ship freight for
less but generally this is only on big ticket items.
Contact G via eBay messaging if you have any freight or detailed shipping
questions.
