The sofer (or scribe) follows the Early Ashkenazi tradition and is extremely carefully and beautifully written. The Torah Scroll has survived through the war and came from Germany with other judaic items and is approx 150-250 yrs old. Scrolls like these are extremely rare and seldom seen due to age and is important for its rarity of the early examples of the Ashkinaz tradition of the Hebrew writings of the Bible.
