This lovely little ceremonial sensu fan was made by one of Kyoto's many renown fan makers. It is made of foil-covered paper - gold on one side and silver on the other. It has glossy black lacquered bamboo struts. It is in perfect condition in its original box.
It measures 9” or 24cm across when open and 6" or 15cm long when closed. This is a type used for ceremonial occasions such as tea ceremony or weddings. See photos for other details…
