This is the part that plays the music and adds the spinning motion to a baby’s Crib Mobile. 

Give it a wind and it will slowing turn the mobile and play a beautiful lullaby song of your choice. 

No need for batteries.   It will play for about three minutes on a full wind. 

Can be cleaned with a wipe.

No problem at all.

The mechanism is a true 18 note Sankyo music box movement.  There are several "no name" brands and knock offs on the market but this shop only sells Sankyo, the leader in quality for 18 note movements.  The sound is crystal clear and has all the charm of a quality music box. 

In case you were wondering, please note that the part with the hook does not exit the round body of the movement in a straight line.  It is not bent or crooked.   This is how they are made.
