I was never a huge PC guy so this unit is a bit of a mystery to me. The best Googling I found provides the following description but please do your research before bidding!!!

RealVoice PC is speech synthesizer hardware for IBM PC desktop and portable computers. The system features Adaptive Communication Systems' RealVoice full-featured, diphone-based voice synthesizer with more natural rhythm and intonation available in either male or female voice. The RealVoice PC plugs into the computer serial port (a cable is included). If the synthesizer is inactive for more than 30 seconds, the battery is turned off and reactivated at the next output from the computer. POWER: Rechargeable batteries. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM PC computers

I don't a PC with this type of serial I/O (DB9) so I wasn't able to test it. Not sure which chipset they used for the voice synth. Have fun playing with it my vintage computer lover friend!
