Description
Old antique hand auger drill with a primitive wood cross handle. This tool is from an old farming and Amish country. With a drill bit of this size was probably used for boring the holes for the cross pegs fastening the mortise and tenon joints in the old post and beam barns.

The iron auger style drill bit measures approximately 1 1/2" across and is 15" long. The wooden cross handle is about 13" across. This has been displayed and there is a hanger on one side of the handle
