This device fix the rod of the metal detector to the search coil more central, thus contributing to eliminates the muscle tension of the arm and a more correct location of the coil relative to the ground.
And also, and this is more important than equilibration of coil, this device can protect against breakage the ears of search coil.
Do you know that when the ears of coil break down (which happens quite frequently) this is a verdict? I think yes, because repair is unreal, replacement only, and even when your favorite XP Deus is under warranty, the damage to the ears of the coil is not a warranty case, you will not receive free repair or replacement and you know the price of the new coil - is more than $400! So, obviously, better to be safe in advance, it will never happen if you installed the balancer on the your coil.
