As you've managed to find the bike I'm sure that you don't need to hear any of the standard blurb about these awesome machines... You already know!

I purchased this bike recently from a lovely chap in Yorkshire, he'd acquired it from an older gentleman who'd given up riding, but couldn't bear to part with his beloved GS! Testament to this is the last tax disc on the bike being from 2007!

After a quick bit of fettling she's ready for her new owner!

The bike has fully stamped BMW S/H up to 48,000 miles and a stack of invoices going back to show LOADS of work having been carried out at BMW dealers over the years! (It even has the complete original tool kit under the seat!) She's now on 59,000 and has just had the following work carried out:-

1) New Front Brake Master Cylinder
2) New Venhill Braided Front Brake Lines (retaining ABS functionality)
3) Front Calipers Stripped, Cleaned and Rebuilt
4) New Front Pads
5) Complete brake system bleed and refill (inc ABS pump units)
6) New Battery
7) New Plugs
8) Oil Change (10w40)
9) New Rear Disc
10) New Rear Pads

The bike is fitted with Crash Bars and a nice Skid Tray, as well as hand/brush guards.

I've checked as much of the bearings and driveline as possible and she seems to be ready to go! The bike will come with 12 months MOT (At full asking price),mileage may increase slightly from here.

"Bad" points... Well... more like minor niggles to be honest...

1) Missing the throttle bar end weight - I was thinking of adding a cruise control stop, but thought the new owner may have other ideas?
2) The front indicators have been taped on, I have a complete set of 'flowing' LED indicators that can go with the bike if the new owner requires (again, these may not be to everyone's taste).
3) Paint has flaked from the engine cooling fins and the front of the block, I've removed the corrosion and stabilised, but have left it to the new owner to decide if they'd like to paint it etc, you can see there's no hidden disasters underneath this way! Rear Torque arm could do with a re-paint also.
4) The throttle heated grip wire has become detached, simple solder/crimp repair - Grips aren't matching so may be worth replacing anyway prior to repair.

Viewings are welcome, we're based in Durham (DH1), although I'll need some notice to get the bike from our secure storage, so please allow some time.
