Plaque is often trapped under dental appliances like orthodontic braces, fixed bridges, retainers and dental implants. It's difficult to remove using a normal floss. Over time, the plague buildup affects oral hygiene and health. It also affects the longevity of expensive tooth fixtures.

The use of a floss threader together with traditional dental floss, allows floss cleansing of those difficult to reach areas. Regular use minimises dental problems, including bad breath, gingivitis, gums bleeding and tooth decay.

The floss threader is approximately 8.5 cm (top to bottom) by 2 cm (left to right) with a diameter of less than 0.5 mm at its tip. It's made from nylon and is flexible and soft on the gums.
