The puzzle presents two characters from Cars 2 that literally pop out of the display. The traditional part of the jigsaw puzzle depicts a bright landscape that includes the back half of the Lightning McQueen red racer and the Agent Mater tow truck. The front half of the vehicles are comprised of highly detailed, folding cardboard model components that secure with clips. Once assembled, these 3D components attach to the face of the puzzle, creating a seamless yet pronounced effect.
Large, colorful, and movie-accurate in depiction, the puzzle provides a remarkable centerpiece for any playroom or Cars 2 fan's bedroom. Measuring 18 inches high by 24 inches wide, the completed puzzle extends 8 inches out from the wall. Its impressive size fits most standard picture frames.
With more than 250 puzzle pieces, the puzzle lives up to its level two build classification, which requires moderate building skills. Much of the puzzle image consists of a blue sky and sandy dirt background, offering a fun challenge. Once completed, the builder spreads a thin layer of glue (included) on the front and back surface of the puzzle to bond the board.
While the traditional jigsaw portion of the puzzle is simple to build, younger children may have difficulty assembling the 3D model components. Each piece requires precise folding at the indicated crease lines and must be connected to corresponding pieces using tab numbers.
