Our Pellethead PH-TCK is a top quality replacement thermocouple for Quadra-Fire Mt Vernon AE, Mt Vernon AE Insert, and Edge 60 stove and fireplace models. This will also be correct for the PT60 Heatilator Pointe fireplace insert. Referred to as the Quadra-Fire Thermocouple K, this safety sensor is placed over the firepot sensing temperature during start-up. Once proper temperature is reached, the thermocouple will lock in allowing the stove to go into normal operation mode. Function: The Thermocouple is the device that monitors the fire after start-up. Once it reaches temp the thermocouple allows the stove to start feeding on it's own in normal operation mode. If your stove goes out after the initial start-up cycle, more than likely the thermocouple needs to be inspected/replaced.
