A Chinese, carved, cinnabar lacquer box, dating to the 19th Century. Carved on the top with two figures in a landscape with mountains and pine tree, with a continuous diaper pattern at the sides. Black lacquer interior and base. Measuring 3.75" long, 2.5" wide, and 1.25" high. In generally good condition, with slight damage to one lower corner, and a small chip to the interior lip of the base (see photos).
