Featured for your consideration from a Seattle estate is a Pre Colombian Chimu culture carved blackware figure of man in head dress with necklace and hands resting on torso.  Ca. 1100 AD- 1450 AD. This highly burnished piece has nice mineral deposits.

Condition: Pre Colombian  


The Chimu culture was from the north coast of Peru. The culture arose around 900 AD. The Inca ruler Tupac Inca Tupanqui led a campaign against them and conquered the Chimu around 1470 AD.
