Matchbox Pioneers of Progress Collection 1937 DODGE AIRFLOW TANKER TEXACO with Original Packaging YYM36834

Lesney, a British manufacturing company of die cast toys, making a Matchbox series of cars which became popular post war.  In 1990's, Matchbox honored THE PIONEERS OF PROGRESS TRUCKS COLLECTION in their Models of Yesteryear by presenting 6 die cast replicas.  This model is a red 1937 TEXACO Dodge Airflow Tanker Truck with loads of detailing, the "Texaco" logo and signage around the truck, the airflow vents along the side of the engine.  This truck comes with a Certificate of Authenticity along with a fascinating story about this company.  Highly detailed model precision-engineered in die cast metal to capture all the exacting detail of the original pick up.  Made in China.  In excellent condition with the original box and packaging.  Handwriting on the outer box and some minor wear on the inside box.  Previously owned by a collector.   Hallmarked on the bottom of each car with, "Matchbox Models of Yesteryear", the catalog number and the name of the car.  1:43 Scale.
