For auction is a bronze desk set Item made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The item is called a Paper Clip holder and it is done in Tiffany's Studios most sought after acid etched craftsman brown patina. This Paper Clip is part of the highly collected bronze "Zodiac" desk set items. The Paper Clip measures 3 11/16" wide by 2 5/8" deep. It stands only 1 3/8" tall and that is to the top decorative side of the hinge.
The Paper Clip displays a wonderful version of Tiffany Studios small snowflake acid etched craftsman brown patina. Some call this a statuary brown patina as well. The top decorative side of the Paper Clip shows a Lion for the Astrological sign of Leo. The Paper Clip Hinge opens and closes with ease and is working properly. The Patina shows a very nice lightly aged patina with minor wear on the underside bottom edges.
This Paper Clip is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no dents, or dings to any of the corners. This piece shows minor wear. The piece is signed on the backside frame plate with "Tiffany Stvdios New York" impressed mark along with the pattern number 1080 for the Paper Clip pattern number. The spelling of Studio with the letter "V" denotes this as an earlier piece.
Tiffany started using a 3 digit number for his Fancy Desk Set goods after 1902 subsequently this piece was made early circa 1902-1905. This is a quality item in the Tiffany Zodiac desk set items. The quality and patina doesn't get much better than this. I'm sure the buyer will be delighted with their purchase.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for.
They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12%. This is an increase of 9.1% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.
If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
