"The artist's professional career spans over a quarter of a century. In the field of advertising she has held various 
positions with newspapers including art director, teacher, paste-up artist and creator of illustrations for children's coloring contests. Through this, she sought broader fields in creative arts. 

National invitations began to arrive and her work has appeared in galleries and private collections here in the United States, Alaska and Hawaii. 

More recently Dorothy was accepted into the Cambridge Who's Who of professional women in America. (Honor Society 2007-2008) This is considered by many to be the highest achievement in a specialized field."
