COMMENTS:  At more than seven feet tall, Cape Verdean performer Bana commands attention, but it is only when he sings that one appreciates his true remarkability. In fact Bana is the well known balladeer from Cape Verde and an amazing interpreter of the morna ( the plaintive, melodic lament which is a staple musical style of this island nation off the coast of West Africa).
