Using the SATO VERISCAN I will give you the security that an out-of-spec. barcode on a label should not reach any of your customers! The SATO VERISCAN I is very easy to install, just a single cable connects the unit to the printer. The fully adjustable stand offers a wide range of settings for various label sizes and formats. The SATO VERISCAN I uses a moving, visible light laser beam to check every label as it is printed. When the SATO VERISCAN I detects that an out-of-spec. symbol has been printed, it pauses the printer. The in-built flexibility of the SATO VERISCAN I enables you to set it up to suit your operating requirements. All the programming is carried out using the four push buttons, together with the 2-line alpha-numeric display. The SATO VERISCAN I can be set in 2 modes, freescan or syncronous. It can be set to pause the printer on detection of an out-of-spec. symbol, to store the verification data for analysis and review later, or you can select the factory-default settings. Once programmed, and initialised, the SATO VERISCAN I operates without further need for operator input. By using the SATO VERISCAN I you can verify the content and quality of each barcode symbol printed on the label, in real time, to ensure that you maintain the quality standard required. The SATO VERISCAN I tests for ANSI readability of grades А, В, С, and D, and will check and reference decode calculations. It can also analyse and record outof-spec. quiet zone dimensions, bar ratios, wide and narrow bar widths, inter-character gaps(ICG), and modulus characters, Labels may contain up to a maximum of 10 barcode symbols, formatted to a maximum of 6 lines, with 1 to 4 symbols on each line. When the symbols within a label format have been pre-defined, or the SATO VERISCAN I is used in the "DATA MATCH" mode, it operates in the "maximum security mode", and scans at the top speed of 40 scans per second.
