A superb and rare photo of the famous multiple World Champion Geoff Duke on the BMW Rennsport 500cc worksracer of 1958.
Geoff Duke is riding the B.M.W. 500cc Rennsport factory racing machine of 1958. After Walter Zeller finished his racing career in 1957, Geoff Duke and Dickie Dale went to ride for the famous Bavarian motorcycle factory.
On the photo Geoff is riding the 1958, full fairing, version of the M253 factory Rennsport works racer. This magnificent machine delivered a power output of 61 bhp! Geoff Duke was an excellent rider, winning no less then 6 World Championships (on Norton and Gilera) and 33 Grand Prix races between 1950 and 1958.
It is rare to obtain a photo of the great Geoff Duke during the last stretch of his magnificent career on B.M.W.!
