MEASUREMENTS: AGE 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 2-3 years, 4-5 years, 6-7 years. To fit an average size baby’s/child’s head for the age indicated

 

TENSION: 22 sts and 28 rows to 10cm, (4in) over stocking stitch on 4mm needles or the size required to give correct tension. Check your tension - if less stitches use a thinner needle, if more use a thicker needle. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO WORK TO THE STATED TENSION TO ENSURE SUCCESS.

When working in more than one colour, where possible the colour not in use should be stranded loosely across back of work to retain elasticity of fabric. Where stranding becomes difficult use separate balls of yarn for each colour change and twist the colour to be used round the colour just used to link colours.

Contrast colour 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1,  x   50g ball

The yarn amounts are based on average requirements when specified tension and yarn is used.

You will also need 1 Pair of 4mm (UK8 – USA6) Knitting Needles, 1 Pair of 3¼mm (UK10 – USA3) Knitting Needles. Stitch Holders and 1 Button for Helmet.

Dispatch
