Touch IC disease

Two ic's on the iPhone 6 plus logic board control the touch functions, called Meson and Cumulus.

U2401 (Cumulus) and U2402 (Meson).

The iPhone 6 Plus housing due to design can easily bend and thus with the frame the logic board warps. The warping of the logic board causes the ball grid array (BGA) chips on the logic board to microscopically break creating “touch IC disease”.
