General Condition

This item is in good condition. Importantly, there are no splits to the top (as the top is impressively constructed from a single piece of timber). There are nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Free of active woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use. (See below: Notable condition remarks). We believe that this table has been repurposed at some point during its long life, probably from a larger flap top table.

In good Original Condition

A most imposing piece of furniture. Please study the photographs carefully which convey a thousand words and constitute an important part of the description. Please also read the full description, terms and conditions etc. This item has developed an incredible and beautiful warm patina over the years. We can find no significant wear or damage to this item, which is unusual for such a highly decorated item. We generally leave items as they are, as many buyers prefer them that way.

Notable condition remarks

There are various old repairs and knocks to the moulded edge and over time the legs have moved to become not quite parallel to one another, resulting in the item not standing quite straight. However the table is very solid, strong and heavy. As often happens over a considerable lifetime, antiques can have alterations made. We feel that this table may have been altered at some point. Old strengthening angle iron has been applied to one leg. (Please see last image.)

Any number of pics cannot do this item justice. Viewing recommended.

Excellent condition with only the odd mark as would be expected of an item of this age. Nothing that detracts.
