DESCRIPTION:
This particular black and white pencil signed wood engraving 'Mill On The Aspetuck (river in southwestern Connecticut) by the highly collected and noted American print maker John De Pol (1913-2004) is in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC as well as in the Brooklyn Museum in New York City. John De Pol's extremely detailed, signature wood engravings are in many important private as well as public collections throughout the United States and abroad. This framed wood engraving is in 100% absolutely original, vintage, 'as-found,' 'as-is' untouched condition. From an estate on the South Shore of Massachusetts, south of Boston. Clearly titled, signed and dated in graphite along the lower print margin. The print has not been removed from the frame. It is and continues to be as it was discovered in the estate. In extraordinarily well-preserved overall vintage condition. Magnificent.
