This "WILL NOT" replace your stock rocker panels and will screw and tap onto your stock S550 rocker panels within 30-60 minutes with an right angled power drill. Doing this by hand will take a little longer but if you can jack up the vehicle this will give you the high to easily drill the self tapping screws in easily and you should be done in no time!

If you don't have any jack stands we highly recommend you bring it into an auto body shop to have this installed for easier installation.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Important Note: You will need size 7 (1 inch) self tapping screws.

Installation takes 30-90 minutes time if you are doing this by hand or with a drill.These S550 side skirts have been bent to accurately fit your 2015-2019 Ford Mustang models. When visually looking at your stock side rocker panels or side skirts it might seem and look straight from a standing point but underneath it is not straight and it actually bends upwards to a certain degree.

1) Before doing any drilling please make sure to ONLY remove the protective film on both sides but just to the "Bent Line/Marker" and do not go past it. The marker is "Marker/Bent Line" where you are suppose to align your new S550 side skirt extensions to the edge of your stock S550 rocker panels or your side skirts. By not peeling off the complete protective film this will prevent scratches and other mishaps that can happen when you're trying to install this.

2) Insert your first screw starting from the rear of the car and make sure the side skirt extension is tucked in and sitting back as furthest as possible and your bent line/marker "Located Left to Right on your new extensions" is aligned with the edge of your stock rocker panel.

3) Now go to the middle of the side skirt and insert that screw making sure you are aligning the indicated marker to the stock rocker panels.

4) STEP 4 YOU WILL NEED ANOTHER SET OF HANDS TO MAKE THIS PART EASIER!

Don't be afraid of bending this material as it won't break and in this step have someone hold and align your side skirts extensions aligning the marker to the front area of your stock rocker panels. Once you have aligned your new side skirts to your stock rocker panels both front and rear markers should come out approx. 3/4 inch from your stock rocker panels.

5) Once you have these areas screwed in now you can complete the rest of the installation and insert the screws from left to right on all holes furthest to the back and go as tight as possible! When you do the holes that are closest to the front of the new side skirt extensions "DO NOT" over tighten as these screws are just there to keep the front steady and secure. By tightening the rear areas more than the front line of screws this will make your extensions point downward and align straight beside your stock rocker panels.A good rule of thumb to remember is for the front line of screws just make them tight enough so there is no gap between your stock rocker panels and your new side skirt extensions!

Please keep in mind that you will need to tighten one area, walk back, observe and you will have to either tighten an area more or loosen some front screws to make your side skirt extensions look straight which can take some time and this is why it's very important to not tighten everything at maximum torque until you can visually see which areas will not to be loosen or might need more tightening. The stock side rocker panel moulding is made of thick and very thin ABS plastic and not every rocker panel for every build on the S550 will have identical matching side rocker panel moulds so this is why you need to follow these installation instructions and also understand that the S550 injection mould from our stock rocker panels might have imperfections underneath that we don't see!

You will notice some areas of your stock rocker panels will be easier to insert the screws and some areas much more difficult especially doing this by hand and not using a drill but once you have your new side skirt extensions installed and looking the way you want it will all be worth it!
