• Verfahren: Ultraschallwellen werden über einen Sensor in das Prüfobjekt eingeleitet. Die Wellen durchdringen das Prüfobjekt, werden an der gegenüberliegenden Oberfläche reflektiert und wieder vom Sensor aufgenommen. Das dadurch ermittelte Messergebnis wird mit der traditionell per Messschieber gemessenen Materialdicke verglichen. Aufgrund des ausgegebenen Messwerts sind falsche Kerne (Abbildung: grau) wie z. B. aus Wolfram, Blei etc. sehr leicht feststellbar, da hier ein anderes Verhalten des Ultraschalls als in reinem Gold vorliegt

• Per Software SAUTER SSG (inklusive) kann festgestellt werden, ob das Prüfstück echt ist oder einen falschen Kern beinhaltet – und dies auf einem hohem Sicherheitsniveau
• Bekannte Beimischungen im getesteten Goldstück – z. B. Kupfer oder Silber – werden durch die Software kompensiert
• Zusätzlich ermittelt die Software den Wert des Goldstücks. Der Goldpreis wird dazu ständig online abgefragt
