These adaptors gives you the best sound quality available. The 8 pin plug is fully mounted to cover all Bang & Olufsen speaker models with RJ-45 connections. You can use these very unique adaptors for the main unit, Eg: Core, Playmaker or later Beolab active speakers Eg: Beolab 17 or 18 just to mention a few.

This Adaptor allows you to connect older Bang & Olufsen Active Loud Speakers using the older 8 Pin Din Powerlink , (B&o Active = Speakers with internal amplifiers) to a Bang & Olufsen Audio, Media and Televisions systems that only use the new RJ45 Sockets.
B&o have two versions of Powerlink connections: Older 8 Pin Din or Newer using RJ45 connections.
This adaptor is for plugging into your new B&o TV, Audio system or Media Centre and still use your older 8 pin Din connection.
An example: If you own a pair of Beolab 4000/6000 etc with two 8 pin din connections you can connect the speakers with the same older cable and the one left over plugs into the adaptor. If you own a pair of Beolab 8000's you will require two adaptors to connect both speakers at the end of a newer RJ45 device or get a PL splitter.
This also works the other way. If you have an older audio system using 8 Pin Din connections, with your older style 8 pin to 8 pin Din connection attach this adaptor so you can connect a newer pair of Bang & Olufsen speakers that have just a RJ45 connection to your old faithful B&o audio or video TV system.

Heavy duty Cat 7, Ultra HQ cable, has special grounding earth connection, all pairs are individually shielded.
Cat 7 has Super fast transfer of data/audio for better sound, unto 10 Gigabites
Cat 7 is 10x's better than Cat 6a's 1 Gigabite
Unlike cheaper cables, this cable has voltage, data and sound L+R are multi shielded to stop internal interferance, hum, data noise in the audio, crossover signal from either channels and has an overall shield to stop external noise entering the adaptor.

Terminals are a solid copper, unlike some that are just coated.
