Trees and tree stump removal

These copper nails are the perfect solution for removing old trees and stumps.

Solid copper nails work by oxidising the tree, which in turn poisons the wood of the tree and results in the disease and eventual death of the tree or stump, meaning you can remove it.

See the three sizes on the drop down -  in various sizes; a longer nail means deeper penetration into the wood, which translates to a higher chance of the tree becoming diseased.

There is no standard as far as size goes when choosing copper nails, but generally the larger the nail in terms of both length and width, the more effective the treatment can be in producing the desired result.

A couple of copper nails might be sufficient to kill a very small tree (such as a sapling)

However, larger trees can deal with a single nail without issue and will simply grow over the nail in time with no ill effects. To ensure larger trees react to the treatment, please use as many nails as required (depending on size of tree).

Instructions:
Near the base of the target tree, hammer in a copper nail at a slight angle pointing downward.
Continue hammering nails in a ring around the tree, about one-half inch apart.
Copper has a tendency to show quite plainly in the trunk of trees due to its bright colouring. Covering the nails makes the process less obvious with a casual glance and can preserve the look of a garden or area as the tree starts to die.
After the tree is dead, remove the nails before removing the tree (to reduce chance of injury to person or machinery when removing the tree)
