This handmade leather journal is hand-tooled with Native American Indian themes. The front cover has a mounted Indian brave, and the border has a war canoe, wigwam, camp-fire, buffalo head and tomahawks.  The rear cover has the profile of a chief's head-dress, surrounded by a border with bow-and-arrows, tomahawks, a buffalo head, a wigwam and a campfire.

The cover measures 9x5.5 inches (22.5x14cm), which means it is about the same size as A5. It contains 100 pages/200 usable sides 150gsm cartridge art paper. It is an ideal size and shape for use as a travelling journal, and the tough binding will survive many journeys in the side pocket of a backpack! This is a tough and durable book that would make an excellent travelling journal, sketchbook or personal diary. The folios of paper are stitched into the leather cover with a traditional 'Italian' stitch - a style of binding that guarantees a long life. The paper is suitable for drawing, sketching or writing in many media, including gel, Biro, pencil, water colour and fountain pen.

I love Native American Indian design, and I would be happy to make a Native Indian journal,  album, or guest book to your specifications.

I love working with leather, but for ethical reasons I only use vintage leather for my books- ie leather from working animals that have come to the end of their lives.
