2X Fender 'Spring & Shot' Stratocaster Tremolo arm Tensioners.
First simply drop the heavy duty spring into the trem arm hole of your Strat, then add the 'Shot' (Steel Ball) and screw the arm into place (as usual, do not over tighten!) The spring creates extra tension and stops the arm from becoming loose, by adding the 'Shot' any friction between the spring and the tremolo arm is reduced, giving a smooth action.
No more floppy trem arm. The arm stays exactly where you want it!
(NOTE; these are genuine Fender ‘High Tension’ springs designed
and produced to do the job. There are ‘Chinese made’ items on the market sold
as 'Tremolo arm tension springs' Using
them, or a light tension spring, such as used in ‘Ball Pens’ or similar, will result in irreparable
damage to the sustain block, or/and tremolo arm threads)
