NOTE: this is an ORIGINAL photograph of a great-uncle of this seller. My grandfather was the brother of Lute Boone. (In fact, as the story was handed down, my grandfather Nelson E. Boone was actually recruited by the Yankees but he declined and encouraged the Yankee scout to "look" at his brother, Lute instead.)

You are purchasing a 1912 Photograph of Lute Boone at the New York Yankees' spring training camp in Florida.

Lute Boone played professional baseball from 1913-1918 for the New York Yankees and was Honus Wagner's replacement at shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1918. 

His MLB statistics were: .209 Batting Average; 6 Home Runs; 76 RBI'S.

Again, this is an actual photograph of my grandfather's brother and from my grandfather's collection.
