These glossy tiles are brand name American Tile Co. A &E
This company merged in the late 1950's to form the America Olean Co.
Tile color is: #12 Buttercup
These tiles are
4-1/4 inches by 4-1/4 inches by 5/16" thickness.
Using my digital calipers tiles measure 4.30" wide on the self-spacing lugs and .30" thick
Tile measures 4.26" wide on the square edge.
These tiles have self-spacing lugs; little bumps on the edges that separate the tiles for grouting.
Imprinted on back of tiles is: A & E. with numbers, Made in USA
Option: I have this same tile with defects such as scratches, larger flea bites on the edges or glazing dots.
