KM-16 Bronze Cent 1897 slabbed and graded XF details, environmental damage, by NGC, 2760226-007. Has some light scale or corrosion in the recesses of the design visible under 10x magnification which is what NGC considers environmental damage. Looks like this could have been easily removed before the coin was slabbed. Coins that circulated in areas with rainy climates naturally acquire some spotting so that isn't really a big deal when it comes to grading bronze or copper issues. Overall, this is a very nice example of a Victoria Cent. Very little actual wear with great details visible in the hair and crown. Coins from the Malaysian area are becoming quite popular, especially with many new Asian collectors entering the hobby. Check the KM values and you'll see this coin is a bargain at our very low opening bid. Please see the photos to judge the coin's condition.
