Measuring 21 cm x 14.8cm the A5 cutting mat is made from 3 bonded layers: a white core which is highly resistant to cuts and outer layers which have a "self healing" property.
The cutting mat is 3mm thick making it more durable and robust than many others on sale.
Both sides of the cutting board are non slip and have printed areas: 1cm grid marked with 45 and 50 degree angles (printed area: 19cm x 13cm)

How Does An Airbrush Work?
Compressed air is released through the airbrush by pressing the trigger.
The air passes over the needle tip and is shot out through the nozzle cap at the front of the airbrush.
Paint, held in the paint cup, travels down to the airbrush under gravity.
It then travels along the airbrush needle and out through a very fine hole in the airbrush nozzle.
Pulling the trigger back also pulls the needle back from its seated and closed position within the nozzle (this closed position means that paint cannot flow from the paint cup).
The needle has a fine tapered point which, once it is pulled back from the closed position within the nozzle, allows paint to flow along the needle and to the needle tip.
The tapered shape of the needle allows more paint to flow the further the needle is pulled back.
Compressed air, passing over the nozzle and needle tip, pulls the paint with it.
The paint is atomised within the nozzle cap (basically this means it’s really well mixed with the air to ensure even coverage) before being shot out of the hole in the nozzle cap.
Paint is delivered from the airbrush in a cone shape (imagine a torch light beam).
The closer you are to your work the smaller the spray area and, conversely, the further away you are the wider the spray area.

To get the best performance out of your airbrush you need to keep it really clean.
Even the smallest amount of build up within the nozzle aperture or on the needle tip will cause paint to flow poorly. At best this will cause your paint delivery to be intermittent with splattering or, worse still, no paint delivery at all!
