For sale is a 5 gram sample of uranium ore (I make sure each has 5 grams and most have over 6 grams).

This sample can be used as a geiger counter check source, and is ideal for someone wanting to collect the elements of the periodic table.

As specified on Wikipedia, this ore contains, in addition to uranium, thorium and radium, the "elements technetium and promethium in small quantities of around 200pg/kg and 4fg/kg respectively.

This sample is from an Australian uranium mine. The dimensions of the metal container are 3.5cm by 2cm.

Using a GB18871-2002 detector this item gets around 1 to 3uSv/h of gamma (at a distance of 0cm from the tube, ore out of the container and actually touching the geiger tube).

Around 1000cpm was detected with an SBM20 tube.

****Please note that I don't measure each individually, so activity will vary****

**please note that delivery times given by ebay are out of my control and often unrealistic. Your item may take longer than this time to arrive, especially around holidays.
